December: Day 1

Me he apuntado a un taller que durará este mes de diciembre. Me encantan los talleres que hacen gente estupenda como Jackie Rueda en Merry Click o Tracey Clark, en Big Picture Classes. Se llama Picture the Holidays 2013 y promete. El primer prompt es Turning Over a new Leaf. Y ha sido pura coincidencia, antes de leer el mail, he salido de buena mañana a fotografiar hojitas, como ésta:

This one is going to last 31 days of December.I love workshops, especially these lovely ones taught by wonderful people like Jackie Rueda in Merry Click or Tracey Clark, in Big Picture Classes. The name is Picture the Holidays 2013, and looks so inspiring! First prompt was Turning Over a new Leaf. Just before getting the first email announcing the topic, I had already been out this morning to find leaves, lots and lots of lonely leaves. Just like this one:

Halloween!

Holitas a todos. Hace cuánto que no aparecía por aquí! Mucho trabajo y mucho querer llegar a todo. Pero hoy he decidido que ya va siendo hora de sentarse y mantener las costumbres. Bueno, aquí estamos, otra vez Halloween, los niños de casa en casa con el truco o trato, a pesar de que nos resulta bastante nuevo, pues aquí no se practicaba. Pero a los críos les encanta, y los padres, pues detrás, animando y acompañando. Se me cae la baba con mi niño. Se lo pasó como nunca. Aquí las calabazas talladas del año pasado

Hello everyone! Long time no see! I've been so busy, wanting to grasp so much that I neglected the blog completely. Today I decided that it was time to be back and regular. So, here we are, Halloween again, kids going trick or treat, even though we are so new to it, we didn't use to do this some years ago. But kids are loving it, so, we, parents have to support and accompany them. I was so proud of my boy and he had the time of his life! These are pumpkins that we carved last year

Me fascinan los campos de trigo, como van cambiando el color, como huelen al anochecer, como las espigas van despuntando y balanceándose con la bisa.
I find them fascinating, crop fields changing color, getting golden, their smell at sunset, the ears swinging to the breeze. Love them.

el caracol. The tiny snail.

La diferencia la marca este caracolito que se mecía en la espiga verde. Parecía que se iba a caer, pero ahí estaba, aferrado, pasando la tarde. Me llamó la atención, tan pequeñito y tan cuco. The tiny snail makes the difference. It was so cosy there just swinging. It looked like it was going to fall off, but there it was, and it made my day. I fell in love with it.
